Once boiling, remove the kelp after about 5 minutes, and continue to simmer the anchovies for another 10 minutes to extract their flavor. Then, strain and discard the anchovies. Next, we’ll prepare the savory seasoning sauce. Thinly slice half a green onion. Mince 1 clove of garlic. In a bowl, mix together 5 Tbsp soy sauce, minced garlic, 1 Tbsp gochugaru, 1 Tbsp toasted sesame seeds, and 1 Tbsp honey. This sauce will add a wonderful depth of flavor to your Onmukbap.
