Main Ingredients- 2 slices of bread
- 1/4 medium onion, thinly sliced
- Generous amount of shredded mozzarella cheese (to taste)
- 1 slice of cheese (e.g., cheddar or American)
Flavor Enhancers- 4 slices of unsalted butter (or 1.5 Tbsp)
- 2 Tbsp mayonnaise
- 1 tsp dried parsley flakes (or to taste)

Cooking Instructions
Step 1
Prepare all your ingredients. Thinly slice the onion and let the butter soften at room temperature. Have your mozzarella cheese, slice cheese, mayonnaise, and parsley flakes ready.

Melt 1 slice of butter (or 1/2 Tbsp) in a pan over medium-low heat. Add the thinly sliced onions and sauté until they become translucent and release a sweet aroma. Transfer the sautéed onions to a separate bowl.

Heat a clean pan over medium-low heat and add the remaining 3 slices of butter (or 1 Tbsp). Once the butter is melted, place the 2 slices of bread in the pan and toast them until golden brown on both sides. Keep an eye on the heat to prevent burning.

Spread a thin layer of mayonnaise on one side of each toasted bread slice.

Evenly distribute the sautéed onions over the mayonnaise on both bread slices.
