Ingredients
  • 2 packs Oyster mushrooms
  • A little scallion (green part)
  • 1/2 Tbsp crushed sesame seeds
  • 1/2 Tbsp sesame oil
  • 1/2 Tbsp minced garlic
  • A little salt

Cooking Instructions

Step 1

First, trim the tough ends off the oyster mushrooms. Rinse them gently under cold running water. If the mushrooms are particularly thick, tear them into bite-sized pieces with your hands.

Step 2

Place the prepared oyster mushrooms in a steamer basket and steam for about 5 minutes. You’ll notice they become slightly translucent and develop a wonderfully chewy texture. Let them cool down slightly after steaming.

Step 3

Finely chop the green parts of the scallions. These will add a fresh, aromatic touch to the mushroom salad.

Step 4

Transfer the steamed and slightly cooled oyster mushrooms to a mixing bowl. If there’s excess water from steaming, gently drain it. Add all the prepared seasoning ingredients to the bowl.

Step 5

Now, gently toss and mix the mushrooms with the seasonings, using a light hand. Avoid squeezing too hard, as this can release too much water. Mix until all the ingredients are well combined, and your delicious oyster mushroom salad is ready to serve!
