Ingredients
- Mandu (Korean dumplings) 7 pieces
- Blanched broccoli florets 7 pieces
- Onion 1/4, thinly sliced
- Milk 200ml (approx. 1 cup)
- Ham (same amount as onion)
- Sliced cheese 2 slices
- Parmesan cheese powder 1 Tbsp
- Salt to taste
- Black pepper to taste
Cooking Instructions
Step 1
Prepare all your ingredients before you begin. This is the first step to creating delicious Creamy Mandu.
Step 2
First, thinly slice the onion into strips. Slice the ham to match the onion’s shape and size.
Step 3
If using frozen mandu, place them in the microwave and heat for about 1-2 minutes to defrost. Ensure they are no longer solid and have softened slightly. Tip: You can also let them thaw naturally at room temperature beforehand.
Step 4
Heat a lightly oiled pan over medium heat. Add the sliced ham and onion and sauté until the onion becomes translucent.
Step 5
Once the onion is translucent, pour in the 200ml of milk. Bring the milk to a gentle simmer.
Step 6
As the milk starts to simmer, add the 2 slices of processed cheese and 1 Tbsp of Parmesan cheese powder. Stir continuously with a chopstick or spatula until the cheese has melted and incorporated into the sauce.
Step 7
When the cheese has fully melted and the sauce has thickened, add the thawed mandu and the blanched broccoli florets to the pan. Gently toss everything together so the mandu and broccoli are well coated in the sauce. Tip: Taste the sauce and adjust seasoning if needed. You can add a little more Parmesan cheese or a pinch of salt.
Step 8
Once the mandu and broccoli are well combined with the sauce and the sauce has reached a thick consistency, finish by sprinkling a little black pepper for added aroma.
Step 9
Voilà! Your Creamy Mandu are ready. Serve immediately while warm for the best flavor!
