A Unique Pizza Recipe to Enjoy at Home

Don’t worry if you don’t have any bread at home! You can make a uniquely thin and crispy-crusted pizza using rice paper. The base for your pizza can be anything you like – rice paper, bread, scorched rice (nurungji), or naan. This recipe is frequently made, so the quantities in the photos are for reference and can be adjusted to your personal taste. It’s easy to make at home and perfect as a delightful homemade party dish!

Pizza Dough & Topping Ingredients
  • 0.5 Tbsp minced ham
  • 0.5 Tbsp sweet corn
  • 2 shrimp
  • 0.5 Tbsp minced shiitake or button mushrooms
  • 1 strip bacon
  • 0.5 Tbsp minced onion
  • 0.5 Tbsp minced green bell pepper
  • 8 sliced black olives
  • 1/2 potato
  • 0.5 tsp salt
  • Pinch of black pepper
  • 1 Tbsp Parmesan cheese
  • Adequate amount of pizza cheese
  • A little parsley

Cooking Instructions

Step 1

Prepare 5 sheets of rice paper. Lightly moisten each rice paper with water, making them damp so they stick together well. Stack these 5 layers, then brush both the front and back with 3 Tbsp of olive oil. Placing them on parchment paper and brushing with olive oil front and back can help achieve a crispier texture. Place the prepared rice paper onto parchment paper to use as your pizza crust.

Step 2

Cut half a small potato into your desired bite-sized pieces. Place the potato pieces in a bowl, add a pinch of pepper, 0.5 tsp of salt, and 1 Tbsp of Parmesan cheese. Mix well by gently massaging the ingredients together. This seasoning will add flavor to your pizza.

Step 3

Chop the remaining pizza toppings into your preferred sizes and shapes. Tip: For easier digestion and preparation, use a vegetable chopper to finely mince the onion, green bell pepper, mushrooms, and ham all at once. Peel and devein the shrimp, and cut the bacon into appropriate pieces.

Step 4

On the rice paper crust placed on parchment paper, generously spread 5 Tbsp of pizza sauce or pasta sauce. After spreading the sauce, evenly layer the minced vegetables (onion, green bell pepper, mushrooms, etc.) to create the pizza base.

Step 5

On top of the sauce and vegetables, arrange the seasoned potato pieces. Then, artfully place the prepared shrimp and bacon bits. Layering the ingredients generously will help create a rich and satisfying pizza.

Step 6

Finally, generously sprinkle a good amount of pizza cheese over the toppings to create a mouthwatering appearance. If desired, lightly dust with dried parsley for an added aromatic touch.

Step 7

Place the assembled pizza into an air fryer and cook at 190°C (375°F) for 7-8 minutes. Cook until the cheese is golden and melted, and the crust is nicely crisped. Your delicious homemade rice paper pizza is ready to enjoy!
