Main Ingredients
- Canned corn 1 can (340g, drained)
- 1/4 onion (finely chopped)
- 30g unsalted butter
- 1 slice processed cheese
- 60g mozzarella cheese (shredded)

- 1.5 Tbsp sugar
- 2 Tbsp mayonnaise
- 1 pinch salt

Cooking Instructions
Step 1
First, thoroughly drain the canned corn using a sieve. Leaving moisture can make the mixture soggy when sautéing. Finely mince the onion using a blender or knife. Incorporating minced onion results in a much smoother texture.
Step 2
Melt 30g of butter in a pan over medium heat. Once the butter starts to melt, add the minced onion and sauté until it becomes translucent and releases a sweet aroma. Sautéing the onions sufficiently brings out their sweetness.
Step 3
Once the onions are tender, add the drained canned corn, 1.5 Tbsp sugar, and a pinch of salt. Stir-fry over high heat until all the moisture has evaporated. It’s crucial to drive off any moisture from the corn. Sautéing the corn until it’s slightly golden can add a nuttier flavor.
Step 4
When the corn appears to have very little moisture left, add 2 Tbsp of mayonnaise. Reduce the heat to low and stir-fry quickly until everything is well combined and glossy. Adding mayonnaise enhances the richness and creaminess, creating a more delicious corn cheese.

Transfer the well-mixed corn cheese into an oven-safe dish or heat-resistant container for serving. Use a small dish for a single serving or a wider dish if serving multiple people.

Tear 1 slice of processed cheese into large pieces with your hands and cover the corn cheese evenly. Tearing it this way makes it look more appealing when the cheese melts.

Generously sprinkle 60g of mozzarella cheese (shredded cheese) on top. You can adjust the amount of cheese according to your preference. A generous layer of cheese allows for a richer taste experience.

Place the dish in a preheated air fryer or oven at 180°C (350°F) for about 5 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and golden brown. Adjust the cooking time based on your air fryer or oven’s specifications. Keep an eye on it to prevent the cheese from burning.
