Sandwich Essentials
  • 100g Duck meat slices (smoked or roasted)
  • 2 slices Rye bread
  • 1 Fresh egg
  • 1/2 Ripe tomato
  • 3 Lettuce leaves
  • 1 Slice of cheese

  • 1 Tbsp Mayonnaise
  • 2 Tbsp Chili sauce

Cooking Instructions

Step 1

Wash the tomato thoroughly and pat it dry. Slice it into thin rounds, suitable for a sandwich. Gently press with a paper towel to remove excess moisture; this helps prevent the bread from becoming soggy.

Step 2

Lightly grease a warm pan and fry the egg. Cook it to your preference, whether over-easy with a runny yolk or fully cooked. Set the fried egg aside on a plate.

Step 3

Cut the duck meat slices into bite-sized pieces (about 2-3 cm). Heat a pan (no oil needed) and cook the duck slices until they are golden brown and slightly crispy on both sides. The natural fat rendered from the duck will add wonderful flavor.

Step 4

Spread 1 tablespoon of mayonnaise evenly on one slice of rye bread. On the other slice, generously spread 2 tablespoons of chili sauce. This layering of sauces enhances the bread’s flavor. Arrange the crisp lettuce leaves and the tomato slices on top of the sauced bread.
