Fig Juice
Crafting a Healthy, Low-Calorie Fig Juice
I made this juice to enjoy figs that were starting to look a bit wilted.^^ It’s a refreshing and healthy option!
Ingredients
- 3-4 fresh figs (adjust based on size)
- 200ml milk (or plant-based milk)
- 1/2 cup ice cubes
Cooking Instructions
Step 1
First, wash the figs thoroughly. If you’re using organic or pesticide-free figs, you can leave the skin on. For regular figs, peel them, or trim off the stem end and cut them into 4 or 6 wedges. Prepare them for blending.
Step 2
Place the prepared fig pieces into your blender. If you enjoy the texture of the fig seeds, feel free to leave them in.
Step 3
Pour the cold milk over the figs in the blender. Add about 1/2 cup of ice cubes to make the juice extra cold and refreshing. You can adjust the amount of ice to your preference. Adding ice helps prevent the juice from becoming too watery and keeps it refreshingly cool for longer.
Step 4
Now, secure the lid on the blender and blend everything until smooth and well combined, about 1-2 minutes. Your delicious fig juice is ready! Pour it into a glass and enjoy it chilled right away. It’s that simple to make a delightful homemade juice!
