Essential Ingredients
  • 6 Baekbong Oriel fertilized eggs
  • 1/2 green onion (scallion)
  • Pinch of salt
  • Pinch of black pepper
  • A little cooking oil
  • 1/2 cup mozzarella cheese (adjust to your preference)

Cooking Instructions

Step 1

Although eggs are currently very expensive, this is the perfect time to make a safe and delicious rolled omelet using Baekbong Oriel eggs. The vibrant yellow yolks not only look appealing but also offer a richer flavor.

Step 2

Crack 6 fresh Baekbong Oriel fertilized eggs into a clean bowl. Remove the chalazae (the white, stringy bits) and gently whisk the yolks and whites together until well combined using a whisk.

Step 3

Enjoy the fun of cooking with your child! Encouraging them to whisk the eggs themselves can help develop their sense of balance and concentration. Guide them to mix the eggs carefully to avoid splashing.

Step 4

Wash and finely mince the white and green parts of the green onion. Add the minced green onion to the egg mixture. Season with a pinch of salt and pepper to your taste. It’s best to add a little at a time and adjust the seasoning to avoid making it too salty.

Step 5

Heat a non-stick pan over low heat and add a generous amount of cooking oil. Pour about 2/3 of the prepared egg mixture into the pan, spreading it thinly. Cooking slowly over low heat ensures it cooks evenly without burning.

Step 6

When about 2/3 of the egg mixture is set, sprinkle the mozzarella cheese evenly over the surface. Once the cheese starts to melt, carefully tilt the pan and gently roll the omelet. Keep the heat low to prevent the egg from burning.

Step 7

Once one side is rolled, push it to one side of the pan and pour the remaining egg mixture. Allow the new egg mixture to flow naturally under the rolled portion. When the top starts to cook, carefully roll it again. Repeat this process two or three times to create a thick omelet.

Step 8

Continue rolling the omelet until it reaches your desired thickness. If it’s too thin, it might break easily, so making it somewhat thick will result in a beautiful shape and a satisfying texture. Next time, you might consider adding 2 more eggs for an even thicker omelet!

Step 9

Let the finished rolled omelet cool slightly before slicing it into bite-sized pieces. Slicing while it’s too hot can cause the shape to distort. Enjoy your delicious rolled omelet, studded with cheese and fragrant with green onion. It’s perfect for a quick and satisfying meal!
