Microwave Grape Jam Egg Bread
[Microwave] Sweet and Savory Grape Jam Egg Bread:D
I made a unique twist on egg bread!:D
Bread Batter
- 1 paper cup of pancake mix
- Water, as needed (to adjust batter consistency)
- A pinch of salt (for seasoning)
Cooking Instructions
Step 1
First, let’s make the egg bread batter. In a shaker or a sealed container, add 1 paper cup of pancake mix and a pinch of salt. Gradually add water while shaking or stirring with a spatula until you achieve a consistency that’s neither too runny nor too thick, similar to pancake batter. Ensure there are no lumps.
Step 2
Next, lightly grease the inside of the paper cups you’ll use for baking. This prevents the egg bread from sticking, making it easy to remove later. Greasing two paper cups should be sufficient.
Step 3
Pour about 1/4 of the batter into each greased paper cup. Then, spoon about a tablespoon of grape jam onto the batter in each cup. Finally, cover the jam with a little more batter, ensuring you don’t fill the cups more than 2/3 full, as the bread will rise during cooking.
Step 4
Carefully crack one egg into each paper cup. Try not to break the yolk. You can gently prick the yolk with a toothpick or the tip of a chopstick to prevent it from bursting while cooking; this will enhance the bread’s richness.
Step 5
Place the paper cups in the microwave and cook for 2 minutes at a time, for a total of 4 minutes. Cooking times may vary depending on your microwave’s power. It’s best to monitor the bread as it cooks and stop the microwave periodically if it puffs up too much. Continue cooking until the egg whites are fully set and the bread is nicely puffed. You might want to cook for 2 minutes, check, and then add another minute or so as needed.
Step 6
Once done, carefully remove the egg bread from the microwave and let it cool slightly. Gently unmold it from the paper cup. If desired, you can sprinkle a little sugar on top for extra sweetness. Enjoy your delicious homemade Grape Jam Egg Bread, especially while it’s warm!
