  • 2 eggs
  • 1/4 carrot
  • 1/4 cucumber
  • 1 handful spinach
  • 2 imitation crab sticks
  • Braised burdock root to taste
  • Pickled radish to taste
  • A little cooking oil
  • A pinch of salt
  • A little sesame seeds
  • A little sesame oil

Cooking Instructions

Step 1

Check and open the package of high-quality, fresh brown rice.

Step 2

Begin by cooking the rice for the kimbap. Mix brown rice and white rice in a 1:1 ratio and cook in a pressure cooker. While the rice is cooking, prepare the fresh vegetable ingredients for the kimbap.

Step 3

Lightly blanch the cleaned spinach in boiling water with a pinch of salt for about 1 minute. Immediately rinse it in cold water, squeeze out any excess moisture, then season with salt and sesame oil for a delicious flavor.

Step 4

Cut the cucumber into long strips, sprinkle lightly with salt, let it sit for about 5 minutes, then lightly rinse to remove excess water. Using store-bought pickled radish and braised burdock root will make preparation convenient.

Step 5

Thinly julienne the carrot. Heat a lightly oiled frying pan over low heat, add the carrots, season with salt, and stir-fry briefly just until tender-crisp, preserving its crunch.

Step 6

Whisk the eggs with a pinch of salt and cook into a thin omelet. Cut the cooked omelet into long strips matching the kimbap size. Briefly grill the imitation crab sticks, split lengthwise, in a dry pan for enhanced flavor. All kimbap filling ingredients are now ready!

Step 7

Your delicious brown rice, glistening with a healthy sheen, is perfectly cooked! Season the warm brown rice with salt, sesame seeds, and sesame oil, mixing well to ensure even flavor distribution.

Step 8

Place a sheet of seaweed on a kimbap rolling mat. Spread the seasoned brown rice thinly over the seaweed, leaving a small margin at the top. Arrange the prepared fresh kimbap filling ingredients neatly in layers over the rice.

Step 9

Using the rolling mat, tightly roll the kimbap. Once rolled, your nutritious Vegetable Brown Rice Kimbap is complete! You can also make mini kimbap for a delightful snack for children.
