  • 4 slices of bread (soft bread without crusts, suitable for sandwiches)
  • 1 pack of Paldo Bibim Ramen (noodles and sauce packet)
  • 2 slices of cheddar cheese
  • 2 slices of ham
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 Tbsp butter

Paldo Bibim Ramen Sauce & Dressing
  • 1 tsp soy sauce
  • 1 tsp vinegar
  • 1 Tbsp corn syrup (or oligodang)
  • 1 Tbsp condensed milk
  • 1 tsp red pepper flakes (gochugaru)
  • 1 Tbsp water

Cooking Instructions

Step 1

First, to ensure a neat sandwich presentation, carefully trim off the crusts from all 4 slices of bread using a knife. This step will provide a softer and cleaner eating experience.

Step 2

Cook the Paldo Bibim Ramen noodles according to the package instructions in boiling water. Once cooked, rinse them under cold water to remove excess starch, then drain thoroughly in a colander. It’s crucial to remove as much water as possible, as excess moisture can dilute the flavor when mixed with the sauce.

Step 3

In a bowl, combine the drained Paldo Bibim Ramen noodles with the original liquid sauce packet. Add the additional sauce ingredients: 1 tsp soy sauce, 1 tsp vinegar, 1 Tbsp corn syrup, 1 Tbsp condensed milk, 1 tsp red pepper flakes, and 1 Tbsp water. Mix everything well until the noodles are evenly coated in the sweet and tangy sauce.

Step 4

In a separate bowl, crack 2 eggs and whisk them lightly. Add 2 tablespoons of the prepared Paldo Bibim Ramen sauce mixture to the eggs and stir well. This creates a special egg mixture infused with the bibim ramen flavors, intended for the sandwich filling.

Step 5

To make the egg omelet for the sandwich, heat 1 tablespoon of butter in a non-stick pan over low heat until melted. Maintaining low heat is key to prevent the butter from burning.

Step 6

Pour the prepared egg mixture (the one mixed with noodles) into the heated pan. Use a ladle to pour the mixture, aiming for a size that matches your trimmed bread slices. Gently spread the mixture to form a thin, even layer resembling an omelet or a thin pancake. It’s best to create shapes that fit the bread.

Step 7

Carefully remove the cooked egg omelet from the pan and let it cool slightly. While still slightly warm, cut the omelet into shapes that match the size of your trimmed bread slices for a perfect fit.

Step 8

Now it’s time to assemble the sandwich! Start with one slice of bread, spread a thin layer of the Paldo Bibim Ramen sauce, then add a slice of ham and a slice of cheddar cheese. Apply another thin layer of sauce, and place another slice of bread on top. Next, layer the prepared egg omelet, add more sauce, followed by ham and cheese, and finish with the final slice of bread. Your ‘Paldo Bibim Sandwich’ is complete! (Assembly order: Bread – Sauce – Ham – Cheese – Sauce – Bread – Omelet – Bread – Sauce – Ham – Cheese – Bread)
