Main Ingredients
- 200g fresh button mushrooms
- 1/2 medium onion
Cooking Instructions
Step 1
Begin by finely dicing the 1/2 onion. Diced onions will add depth of flavor and a pleasant, tender texture when sautéed.
Step 2
Heat a frying pan over medium heat. Add the 2 Tbsp of butter and 1 Tbsp of cooking oil. Once the butter has melted, add the diced onion and sauté for about 2-3 minutes until it becomes translucent and fragrant.
Step 3
Clean and pat dry the 200g of button mushrooms. You can slice them into bite-sized pieces or leave them whole. Add them to the pan and sauté until they soften and turn a light golden brown. Cook until the mushrooms release their moisture and begin to brown for optimal flavor.
Step 4
Now it’s time to add the flavor! Pour in the 2 Tbsp of sake to help deglaze the pan and cook off the alcohol. Then, add 1 Tbsp of minced garlic, 3g of salt, 3g of black pepper, 3g of dried basil, and 3g of dried oregano. Stir everything together and continue to sauté for another 1-2 minutes until all the ingredients are well combined and fragrant. Your delicious garlic butter sautéed mushrooms are ready to serve!
