  • 40g Bean Sprouts
  • 10g White Part of Green Onion
  • A little Cooking Oil

Seasoning
  • 0.5 tsp Mirin (or Cheongju)
  • 0.5 tsp Low-Sodium Soy Sauce
  • 0.5 tsp Sesame Oil
  • 0.3 tsp Minced Garlic (baby-friendly)
  • A tiny pinch of Black Pepper (optional)
  • A little Toasted Sesame Seeds

Cooking Instructions

Step 1

First, prepare 60g of minced pork suitable for babies. In a bowl, combine the pork with 0.5 tsp of mirin, 0.5 tsp of low-sodium soy sauce, 0.5 tsp of sesame oil, 0.3 tsp of minced garlic, and a pinch of black pepper (if using). Mix well with your hands to marinate. This step helps remove any gamey smell from the pork and enhances its flavor.

Step 2

Wash the 40g of bean sprouts thoroughly. Blanch them in boiling water for exactly 30 seconds. Be careful not to overcook, as this will make them lose their crispness. After blanching, rinse them under cold water and squeeze out any excess moisture.

Step 3

Finely chop the white part of the 10g green onion into very small pieces, suitable for your baby to eat. If your baby is very young, it’s best to mince it as finely as possible.

Step 4

Now, heat a pan over medium-low heat and add a little cooking oil. Add the minced green onion and stir-fry slowly until a fragrant ‘green onion oil’ is formed and the aroma is released. This oil will add a wonderful depth of flavor to the dish.

Step 5

Once the green onion oil is fragrant, add the marinated minced pork to the pan. Break up any clumps and stir-fry over medium heat until the pork is no longer pink and is completely cooked through. Ensure it’s fully cooked for your baby’s safety.

Step 6

When the pork is almost fully cooked, add the prepared bean sprouts to the pan. Increase the heat to high and stir-fry quickly. Stir-frying rapidly will help keep the bean sprouts crisp and prevent them from becoming soggy.

Step 7

Turn off the heat just as the bean sprouts are still crisp. Sprinkle with toasted sesame seeds for a final touch. Your delicious and nutritious ‘Pork and Bean Sprout Stir-fry’ for baby is ready! Let it cool before serving to your little one.
