Step 1
Prepare the chicken breast. Butterfly the chicken breast by slicing it horizontally and opening it up. Then, gently pound it with the back of a knife to make it thinner and wider. This helps it cook evenly and ensures a tender texture. Season both sides evenly with 1/2 tsp salt and 1/4 tsp black pepper.

Lightly sprinkle 1 tablespoon of flour over the seasoned chicken breast. This step helps prevent the cheese from falling out and ensures the coating adheres well.

Place the sliced fresh mozzarella cheese along the chicken breast. Be careful not to place it too close to the edges, as the cheese might melt and ooze out during cooking.
