Main Ingredients
- 2 medium potatoes
- 1/2 bell pepper
- 1 small onion
- 1/2 cup canned corn kernels
- Sliced ham or bacon (optional, a small amount)

- 2-3 Tbsp mayonnaise

Cooking Instructions
Step 1
First, prepare the ingredients for your pizza base and toppings. Peel the 2 medium potatoes and shred them thinly. Finely dice the 1/2 bell pepper and 1 small onion into approximately 1cm pieces. Drain the canned corn kernels. If using ham or bacon, dice it into small cubes.
Step 2
In a bowl, toss the shredded potatoes with a pinch of salt. This step helps to draw out some moisture from the potatoes, making them less soggy when cooked and allowing them to absorb seasoning better.
Step 3
Heat 1 tablespoon of canola oil (or cooking oil) in a frying pan over medium heat. Add the salted potato strings and stir-fry until they turn golden brown. Cook until the potatoes become translucent and tender.

Now it’s time to prepare the other ingredients for sautéing. Dice the bell pepper and onion into small, bite-sized pieces (about 1cm). If you’re using ham or bacon, dice that too. Make sure the canned corn is drained.

In another frying pan (or the same pan after wiping it clean), heat 1 tablespoon of cooking oil over medium heat. Add the diced vegetables (bell pepper, onion), ham, and corn kernels. Sauté briefly until the vegetables are slightly softened but still retain some crispness. This ensures a pleasant texture.

It’s time to assemble your pizza base. Spread the cooked potato strings evenly on a large plate or pizza pan, ensuring they don’t overlap too much. Press down gently to create a compact and stable base.

Arrange the sautéed vegetables, ham, and corn kernels attractively over the potato string base. Sprinkle a pinch of black pepper evenly over the toppings for added flavor.
