  • 240g sausages (e.g., Vienna, frankfurters, or your favorite type)
  • 1 medium onion

Special Sauce Seasoning
  • 2 Tbsp ketchup
  • 1 Tbsp gochujang (Korean chili paste, adjust to taste)
  • 1 Tbsp oyster sauce
  • 1/2 Tbsp minced garlic
  • 1 Tbsp corn syrup or oligosaccharide (adjust sweetness)

Cooking Instructions

Step 1

First, peel and wash the onion thoroughly. Slice it into bite-sized pieces, about 1cm thick, either thinly sliced or diced. Prepare the sausages by cutting them into similar bite-sized pieces. For Vienna sausages, you can cut them in half or into desired shapes.

Step 2

Heat 1 tablespoon of olive oil (or cooking oil) in a frying pan over medium heat. Using olive oil will add a more pleasant aroma.

Step 3

Once the oil is warm, add the sliced onion and sausages to the pan. Stir-fry over medium heat until the vegetables are slightly softened and the sausages are lightly browned. This should take about 3-4 minutes.

When the sausages and onions are partially cooked, add 1/2 tablespoon of minced garlic. Continue to stir-fry for about 1 minute until the garlic becomes fragrant. Be careful not to burn the garlic.
