Cooking Instructions
Step 1
First, bring a generous pot of water to a rolling boil for cooking the pasta. For one serving, measure out the spaghetti – about the size of a coin is usually appropriate.
Step 2
Once the water is boiling vigorously, carefully add the spaghetti. Cook it for about 10 minutes, or slightly less than the package instructions, aiming for an ‘al dente’ texture. Stir occasionally to prevent the pasta from sticking or becoming mushy.
Step 3
Drain the cooked spaghetti thoroughly using a colander. Transfer it to a bowl and toss gently with 1/2 Tbsp of olive oil to prevent the strands from clumping together. This creates a light coating.
Step 4
Now, heat a frying pan over medium-high heat and add the ground pork. As the meat begins to cook, add 1/2 Tbsp of minced garlic and 1 Tbsp of cooking wine (like Mirin) to help eliminate any porky odors. Season with a pinch of salt and pepper, and stir-fry until the meat is nicely browned and crumbly.
Step 5
Arrange the prepared spaghetti nicely in a serving bowl. Generously spoon the freshly stir-fried ground meat over the top of the pasta. The hearty portion will be visually appealing.
Step 6
Next, generously pour the Ottogi Meat Spaghetti Sauce over the pasta and meat mixture, ensuring it coats everything evenly.
Step 7
Now, sprinkle a generous handful of mozzarella cheese over everything. The cheese will melt and create a wonderfully gooey topping.
Step 8
Place the bowl in the microwave and cook for approximately 3 minutes. The cheese should be nicely melted and gooey, and all the ingredients should be heated through. Your delicious meat spaghetti is ready! (Adjust cooking time based on your microwave’s wattage.)
Step 9
Finally, use a fork or chopsticks to mix the spaghetti, ground meat, and melted cheese together thoroughly. This ensures every bite is full of flavor. Enjoy your meal!
