Cooking Instructions
Step 1
First, season the thick Tomahawk steak generously on both sides with salt, pepper, and dried basil. Drizzle with olive oil and spread evenly for an enhanced flavor. Slice the onion into thick, whole rounds, leaving the skin on if preferred, or peel and cut. Slicing them thick will help them retain their shape and sweetness when roasted.
Step 2
In a bowl, combine the asparagus, button mushrooms, and cherry tomatoes. Sprinkle with salt, pepper, and dried basil, then drizzle with olive oil. Gently toss to coat the vegetables with the seasonings, infusing them with a wonderful aroma. Pre-seasoning the vegetables will ensure the flavors are evenly distributed, making them much more delicious.
Step 3
Prepare the steak cage or grill rack of your NUC Multi Air Oven. Arrange the seasoned Tomahawk steak and the dressed vegetables neatly. Preheat the air oven to 190°C (375°F), then place all the ingredients inside and roast for a total of 40 minutes. Using an air oven allows you to easily make a fantastic steak at home without worrying about smoke or odor.
Step 4
About halfway through the cooking time, open the air oven and flip the steak. Flipping the steak ensures even cooking and allows the juices to redistribute. Place a slice of butter on top of the steak. As the butter melts, it will add a rich, buttery flavor and help keep the steak moist.
Step 5
Once the 40-minute roasting is complete, beautifully plate the finished Tomahawk steak and roasted vegetables. For an even more special meal, serve with a dollop of zesty whole grain mustard or a rich steak sauce, according to your preference. Enjoy a special feast at home that rivals any restaurant!
