Spicy & Sweet Chewy Noodles (Jjolmyeon)
Easy Jjolmyeon Recipe Using a Meal Kit
Hello everyone! Today, I’ll show you how to easily and quickly make delicious jjolmyeon at home using a popular meal kit. You can whip up a fantastic bowl of jjolmyeon without any complicated steps. It’s perfect for enjoying a special treat even on busy days!
Basic Ingredients
- Meal kit jjolmyeon 1 package (includes noodles and sauce)
- 4 cups water (approx. 800ml) – for boiling noodles
- 4 lettuce leaves
- 1 hard-boiled egg
- A small amount of blanched bean sprouts
Cooking Instructions
Step 1
Prepare the star of today’s recipe: the meal kit jjolmyeon. The contents might vary slightly depending on the brand, so it’s helpful to refer to the package instructions.
Step 2
In a deep pot, add 4 cups (approx. 800ml) of water and bring it to a boil over high heat. Once the water is vigorously boiling, add the jjolmyeon noodles and cook for about 5 minutes, following the meal kit’s instructions. Stir occasionally to prevent the noodles from sticking together.
Step 3
Once the noodles are cooked to perfection, quickly drain them and rinse under cold running water, rubbing them gently. This step is the secret to achieving that wonderfully chewy texture! After rinsing, drain the noodles thoroughly in a colander. Arrange the drained noodles neatly in a serving bowl.
Step 4
Now, let’s add the toppings to make the jjolmyeon even more satisfying and flavorful. Place the blanched bean sprouts, freshly chopped lettuce, and a hard-boiled egg (cut in half) neatly on top of the noodles. Finally, generously drizzle the delicious jjolmyeon sauce that came with the meal kit over everything.
Step 5
You can customize it further to suit your taste! Adding thinly sliced cabbage for crunch or sweet and sour pickled radish (musaengchae) would also be excellent. Feel free to add any other vegetables you enjoy. Once all your toppings are in place, mix everything well and enjoy. Savor your spicy, sweet, and delightfully chewy jjolmyeon!
